Do you have suggestions for changes (that would make meme easier to navigate or understand for nonnies old, new, or equine) to the text rules & links section of the header part of each post? Do you have recommendations for changes/updates/clarifications to the information we provide in the personal and rules posts ( Read more... )

+1 and also pissed off because I MISSED IT even after that. I was so excite and I wrote out a comment thread for something I really want to be a Page 1 regular in notepad all excite like and then I feel asleep waiting. :'(

One of my fandom friends is very firm about 2 things: they hate a certain character because of certain events and they would still hate the character if they were female.

The thing I wouldn't admit unanon is that before I found those things out, I told them about all of the character's major storylines and interactions with one big difference: I referred to them using male pronouns. And she loved them.

So not only does she not know a lot about the character she claims to hate so much, she wouldn't mind what little she does know if it was a male character.

I'm almost tempted to tell her but she's probably throw a tantrum.

Other Fire Emblem nominating nonnie, did you see the thing that they're only taking FE under the umbrella of "Fire Emblem Series"?

You mean this thing from their eligibility post? an example from the 2013 round: None of the Fire Emblem individual games were eligible for NPT, but the Fire Emblem franchise as a whole was. Pretty sure that was just an example from what happened last year because I'm looking at the tag set and see individual FE games are in it too.

"To the person(s) who nominated:
Fire Emblem: Kakusei | Fire Emblem: Awakening
Fire Emblem: Rekka no Ken
Fire Emblem: Soen no Kiseki/Akatsuki no Megami | Fire Emblem Path of Radiance/Radiant Dawn
Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones
When I checked on AO3 for the eligibility numbers, the individual fandoms do not meet the 200 fics requirement in English. I looked on FFN and the filtering there doesn't match up to the game names. Need further clarification on this. (The series as a whole has been approved, though I haven't approved any characters just yet)."

(Giving this duplicate thread a new purpose.)

Personally, I'd love a non-con big bang.

I'd really, really love an exchange for rare anime/manga/game het pairings.

Also, a multifandom gen exchange. There used to be one some years ago, but as it's been inactive, I'd like to see a new one take its place.

A while ago, I read an article someone linked to on meme about the differences between US liberal and conservative households and values, and I would like to read it again. The article was either too early in meme's life to be on dememe, or I searched for it incorrectly. Google was not helpful. Could someone please help me? I believe the title was Red State, Blue State

Would this be it?

There's also the book "What's the Matter with Kansas" which discusses similar issues.

I think Nate Silver might have also done some statistical analysis on this. Not sure though.
