You know I don't cry over stories. I cry over movies, but never books and stories. I did cry over a story, I think, twice in my life.

This story didn't make me cry, but I was close. I was nearly in tears. It's the kind of story that makes you ache in a thousand ways.

I have listened to the Assholes Downstairs (that is my official name for them now) giggle and talk and shout for two nights in a row now, last night the birds were already chirping outside and they were still awake, being noisy. On my way to school, I saw a beautiful black girl on a street corner, riding an old bike, just picking up speed. Our eyes met and all of a sudden, she smiled, and I smiled back. I was in bed by midnight like a good girl. I think I fell asleep for a moment, but then I was awake again. I knew I was on the brink of sleep, but I just couldn't tip over and sleep. Wtf, blades? They were okay at first, but then, after a while, started feeling all weird. It's very unnerving to not feel your right inside/outside edge.
