I discovered a mildly effective way to learn songs by ear: play a whole bunch of them in a row and muddle along with each one. :P I figured out parts of the vocal lines for two more Djilia songs. ^^ Unfortunately they're both slow songs, so if I get them memorised, about two-thirds of my repertoire will be slow songs. >.> (This is not an ( Read more... )

A lot of you probably don't know this, and a lot of you probably do: I play flute, my brother has turned his room into an amateur music studio, and I recorded a piece on my flute to be played at a gig Ring did. It's from Star Wars, and I've been told I played it well.
