It is super hard to be at work looking out the huge glass window and seeing the sunshine and blue sky. (After seeing that I checked the temperature and it is almost 50 degrees).It makes you want to go out and play. I think I have spring fever…oh well…it supposed to be nice this weekend.

We broke the record for the hottest day in Seattle history. It hit 103 degrees outside. Last night was the warmest night ever…72 degrees. I think it was still around 99 degrees at 10:00pm last night. That is just too hot. Tomorrow is supposed to be around 100 degrees but we should be cooling off after that.

It is hot. It is super hot. We might break the city record for the longest consecutive days spent at 90+ degrees (I think it is 5 straight) and for the record temperature which is 100 degrees. It was a three day weekend and nothing much was done. The weather was amazing: blue skies, a light breeze, and highs in the 70s. The roomie and I decided to spend most of the weekend relaxing at the local park on the lake and we were not the only ones with this idea. I moved from Wisconsin to escape the snow and what do you know it followed me to Washington. This is the most snow our area has seen in a decade! (about six whole inches) When it snows the city shuts down. Very few buses, hardly any cars on the road, and business close. The reason for this is because the city only has 13 snowplows. I should start updating this more but I don’t have time at work and when I get home from work I am ready to relax.

The seasonal wind has been blowing and that means spring is on the way. For the last week the weather has been sunny and the temperatures have been in the mid-forties. Hopefully this will keep up because then the plum blossoms will bloom at the start of March!!!

IT IS SNOWING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is snowing and the heat does not seem to be working in the teacher's room. I am freezing. It looks like the heat is turned on because something is blowing out of the vents but it does not feel any warmer. My hands are turning to icicles. I woke up today and decided that I didn’t want to leave my bed until the last minute. The last minute turned out to be 7:25 when Andrea called me telling me to look outside. I got out of my nice warm bed, climbed down my ladder, and looked outside. IT SNOWED!!!! Last night it SNOWED!!!!! There is snow on the ground, in the trees, and on my car!

According to Andrea, the typhoon was a level one hurricane. She didn’t sound too impressed with that (she is from Florida) but I thought it was rather awesome. I had never been in anything that resembled a hurricane before so I tried calling my family to tell them the exciting news. No one was home.
