The main plan for today was to trim PoohBear and Dirk's hooves; they have been in dire need of trimming for sometime now, but various things have continuously conspired against me to prevent the job from being done: Extreme Cold, Having my back go out, and others. Today however, the weather was warm(ish) and my back was feeling a lot better.

     Wow!  The last few days have been busy, and mostly in a good way.  I haven't been able to update my journal because for some reason the connection from the farm to LJ has been really flakey, though it seems to work OK from town, and I don't have issues with other sites.  I've been too busy in town to do any updates from there, so I've just had ( Read more... )

     Not to make light of the dire situation in Japan - one can only hope that they manage to avoid a complete meltdown of their reactors.  I was watching the CBC world news when they said that there had been another major explosion only three hours prior, and the biggest fear was that this one might have cracked the containment dome.

1. It's raining again.  Not just a little drizzle either; It's Raining, and there's another leak in the roof right over the front door, and there's water in the basement again.

Now that tiny little bit of water in the basement doesn't seem so bad!!  There used to be a campground where those power lines are.  :/

     I got lucky this afternoon.

Probably the only thing worse than finding water all over the floor, is finding water all over the floor when you're in a boat.  Fortunately, we're not at sea, but it's bad enough.
