Ah Monday.... How do I hate thee? Let me count the ways...

1. It's raining again.  Not just a little drizzle either; It's Raining, and there's another leak in the roof right over the front door, and there's water in the basement again.
    
2. The back door of the house broke this morning; The door-jamb has a big crack from the bottom up to the lowest hinge, which then fell off the jamb.  So the door was hanging by the top and middle hinges, making it impossible to close (Did I mention that it's raining?!)  I managed to make a temporary fix, but the door is going to have to be babied until the jamb can be taken out and repaired.  That is a major job, but one that needed doing anyway since it wasn't installed properly in the first place (which is probably what led to the crack.)
    
3. I was moving some stuff around with the Explorer when it blew a rad-hose.  There was too much steam hissing out to see exactly where the leak is, but it's either in one of the heater-hoses, or in a small manifold where a bunch of the hoses come together.  I'm rather hoping that it's the manifold, as that would actually be easier to replace than the suspected hose.
    
4. And the main reason that Monday's Suck (at least this Monday?)  I lost my job at the John Deere dealership this morning.

     Reg called me into the office and we sat down, and he explained that it just seems that I don't quite "have the heart" for this particular position (parts desk.)  He says that he's sorry to have to let me go, especially as there are other talents that they'd be able to use, but not enough to be able to keep me on staff.  The good thing is that we're parting on good terms; There's always opportunity for contract work with their website and IT stuff and possibly electronics repair, and most importantly, they're going to pay me out until the end of the month.  At least that gives me the opportunity to find new employment without having to worry about where the next paycheque is coming from; The cheque after that is another story mind you.

So...  yeah.  Monday's suck...  I'm still smilin' though, because in this sort of situation all you can do is smile, or go crazy.  It's a little past 1pm now; This day is more than half-over, and soon it will be a New Day, with new possibilities and opportunities.
