Yesterday i took my pony and his lease rider (now a good friend of mine) to their (most likely) last show together as she is now ready to head off into the big bad world and buy her own pony. Hi all, it's been a while! I've had my little boy, Beluga, leased out to a woman and her daughter for the last year, and it's been great. He's been getting regular exercize and the attention and love that only a little girl could give him. So my mini, Beluga, has been with his lessee's for about 6 months now. I went to go visit him again last week and got some good progress photos of him. He has lost an amazing amount of weight. So that lease I posted about a few weeks ago about a little girl getting My gelding for xmas? Well that fell through, they ended up getting her a horse that she could grow into.

But today, I moved Mr B to this wonderful woman's farm. They have a bunch of big horses already, but nothing that her little girl can ride with much confidence.

So I bought a cheapo nylon driving harness for Mr. B a few months back, and it's been great, though I have had to make a few adjustments to it so that it would fit him, being the fatty he is.

i was at the barn today -- most usefully to talk to the owner of the little tb mare -- and decided to hop on stjarni for a bareback tolt. which was fine, except that i noticed that I HAD THE REINS CROSSED UNDER HIS CHIN -- only i *hadn't* notice for about the first five or ten minutes at all!

he's such an amazing horse, and i am such a fool :)

So, one of my neighbors has a little girl, I think she's like 6. She loves my little gelding, and he even likes her! He can be incredibly stubborn but the other day she hopped up on him and rode him around in just a halter and lead.

Well this is the first time I've posted here, and sadly it's not for anything good. This afternoon one of our horses and the pony were fighting, a common occurrence between the two.
