Has anyone ever heard of a tool called The ManePuller? I'm really bad at pulling manes, so I was looking for some How-To videos on YouTube and found this:

SmartPak sells the ManePuller for $19.95 and I've been considering getting one. Have any of you lovely Equestrians ever used one? Is it worth the money? What are the pros/cons?

I think I need to be the supplement junkie of EquestrianI'm trying to find studies on horses and MSM. I have heard that it helps fight inflammation, whether joint OR hives. I am having trouble finding scientific data over this, including how much is too much MSM (if there's such a thing). This is kind of a silly question, but to the people out there that have horses with long manes, especially the Friesian and Andalusian/PRE people who are used to the thicker versions of long manes, how in the world can you get the running braid to stay in while riding? Last year, one of my mares rubbed a huge chunk of her mane bald on the paddock fencing. She was trying to graze outside of the fence, because of course we never feed her. *eyeroll* I was looking at the new Smartpak catalog this weekend, and considering some of the fly sheets that have neck protection. Hello equestrians!

Winter coat season is almost upon us in the US, and this year I would prefer to keep my horse a shiny, pretty horse instead of having him transform into a woolly mammoth that is impossible to groom and cool down after exercise, and then have to deal with enough hair to stuff a quilt coming off again in the springtime.

I posted about a week ago asking for advice on braiding with pink ribbon/yarn for a breast cancer benefit show. Well, I did braid pink into my horses mane and tail and it came out super cute.
