I love teaching! My students are so good! I get to lecture about literary elements and The Red Badge of Courage. I think my students like me. They always say goodbye and they tell me I am their favorite teacher. Yes, that makes me feel self righteous. I would hate to be the hated teacher. Though, I do give a lot of homework. Today the kids went to the Dallas World Aquarium for a field trip. Intially, my name was not listed with the group of teachers who were chaperoning. So I worked with a group of 8th graders (about 22) today. They had a half hour of "silent" reading before lunch. I put silent in quotes because they were anything but silent.
