First week of school.
I love teaching! My students are so good! I get to lecture about literary elements and The Red Badge of Courage. I think my students like me. They always say goodbye and they tell me I am their favorite teacher. Yes, that makes me feel self righteous. I would hate to be the hated teacher. Though, I do give a lot of homework. I do get a lot of whining. But they still say goodbye at the end of the day. I am finally getting paid for a decent day's work. My lead teacher kept pressuring me to ask if I needed help. I told her I was fine. She asked if I was sure if I didn't need help. I told her I was fine. She looked at me as if I were lying. Sorry that I am competent? My students are so funny. I like my freshmen.
