Yesterday afternoon: met up with  chocorua  and took the train out to the farm, where I was fed tasty food by goddessfarmer.  In the evening, I found a nest to videotape.

This morning:
5:15am - Woke up to gather nests.
6am - Went back to sleep
8am - Went out to set up videotape on the selected nest
8:30am - Had an egg sandwich of eggs from my hosts' chickens on homemade ( Read more... )

Tonight I need to go collect wasps at Great Brooks Farm State Park. I would strongly prefer to do this after my game ends at 10pm, but I can leave earlier if I have to. I also need to bring a ladder (which I have). This can be strapped onto a car if it's alright with the car's owner, but I wanted to put that in. Can anyone give me ( Read more... )

So . . . this is one of those requests I don't really expect to get filled, ( but I figure I may as well ask )

On the list of things you would probably rather not know (particularly if you bake): frozen, defrosted, mashed wasp larvae closely resemble mashed bananas in texture and appearance.

I just finished one of the major projects I failed to get done during the break, and I'm taking a break before getting to work on the next one. So, to procrastinate, I will . . . update!

So today I start a job cleaning offices. I go meet my boss at 5:30 this afternoon to start training. I will be working evenings everyday but Wednesdays and weekends, as well as some Saturdays. So a friend of mine suggested a career path, or at least a summer job. He thinks I should be a court musician for some eccentric rich person. I can write tunes on command in about 5 minutes, and also write songs and poems.
