 So, this Arisia definitely ranked high on my all-time list of best con experiences.  This con was full of music and dancing, things that are almost guaranteed to improve any experience for me.  The biggest thing that pushed this con from a good con to an amazing con for me was, of course, the joint Stranger Ways and Sassafrass concert.  Playing ( Read more... )

If you're attending Arisia this year, Stranger Ways and Sassafrass will be performing back to back from 11a-1p on Saturday, Jan 15! Come see the show! :)

For those who don't know, Stranger Ways is the folk group I'm in with usernamenumber , natbudin , and zebediah , and Sassafrass is the a capella group that faerieboots , juldea , aurelia_star  are in (along with many others).

I will be playing with the Waytes for dancing at May Day, at Brandeis on 5/3 (yes, I know), for anyone who is interested.  First chance to see me in public playing the bass viol and lots more going on for anyone who is interested.

Also, for people who are interested in related things, I'll be playing with the Waytes for Henry V 6/6.

So, Korpiklaani and several other bands are playing in Paganfest 2 at the Worcester Palladium on May 1.  I want to see this, but A) I have no way of getting there, and B) this would be more fun with a moderately large group.  Who's interested?

I want to see Dr. Atomic.  I have no idea how this could possibly be practical.
