Also, now that I have material to compare it to, cramps do indeed bear a resemblance to early labor pains.

Interestingly, the perceived physical size of the pain isn't much different. In spite of the much larger size of my uterus during labor, the size and site of the pain felt the same.

I have discovered a way to motivate myself: make a daily list. I take my small whiteboard and write a list of things I need to do and things I want to do on it, then check off each item as it's finished. They may be small items like "email Mom" or "make iced tea" or bigger ones like "clean the kitchen." This keeps me going for three reasons ( Read more... )
