Yesterday I got up at 2am to work on my paper. Once my sister and her boyfriend arrived in town, the middle of the night is the only time I have to work in peace, while they are sleeping. We're having a big lightning storm right now. Crazy rare for Portland. And it's kind of freaking me out, all the lightning I'm seeing through my big window with the east view. I'm very out of practice on this thunder and lightning stuff.

I went and picked berries today. I did not wear sunblock or bring water. I was so exhausted by the time I was done, not because it was that hard, but just because of the sun beating down on me. When I got home I drank 2 liters of water and took a nap. I don't think I got too burned, just a little pink.

I had a pedicure today done by a teenage/early 20s boy. Random job for someone like him. I think it might be a family business or something. But he was good, and when another lady came in she even said, "Oh you're lucky. He's really good." I always feel so terrible getting pedicure. I do not have pretty feet and it's kind of embarrassing. Today instead of studying for finals, I drove to the Woodburn Tulip Festival. I'd been dying to go to this for years, but it coincides with finals every year. However this is my last spring in Oregon, and therefore my last chance.
