Yesterday I got up at 2am to work on my paper. Once my sister and her boyfriend arrived in town, the middle of the night is the only time I have to work in peace, while they are sleeping. I removed my first corneal foreign body today. It's kind of a landmark moment for a new OD. Mine was a little bit of vegetative material, like maybe a little piece of leaf. But it had imbedded itself enough that removing it wasn't totally easy. But I did get it off. It's crazy how much your hands look like they are shaking under magnification, but ( Read more... )
