Pictures from the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade 2008! I again had an All Access pass. The pictures start with the balloon inflation the night before.

Got home a bit late last night thanks to heavy fog at Hartsfield. Now I'm going thru nearly 1000 pictures of the Macy's Parade. Some time ago, one of the attorneys in the office gave me a modified Holga camera.

Long story short about Holgas: They're toy cameras, basically, made out of cheap plastic. They leak light. The plastic lens distorts the image. The film doesn't stay very taut. That's all part of the charm. Lots of artsy photographers are obsessed with them ( Read more... )

Somebody over on DPC (the photography site) started up a "Slice of Life" project for December and I decided to give it a shot. The idea was to take a picture each day and post it, or at least post a picture for each day even if a bunch were taken all at once. Done with holiday shopping. Placed a couple of online orders a few minutes ago; that stuff should arrive later this week. Some of it will be late since Chanukah ends on Wednesday, but I'm pretty sure everyone will get over it.

I've begun the process of whittling down the 425 Prague photos posted over on Flickr down to a manageable number to edit and take seriously. So far, I'm down to about 30+; I'm sure there will be fewer when all is said and done.
