Yesterday morning Candy and I hiked over by Clarion along Toby Creek and through the gamelands up on the hill from there. It was exhausting. Big hill climbing. Hot sun. Yesterday afternoon we had dinner with Chloe and afterwards she showed us the waterfall where she used to hang out with friends when she went to college in Clarion. The Rapp Run waterfalls. When we got home on Monday evening the dogs were really excited to see us. Rainy couldn't stop following me around and licking at me. I took Candy to the Beaver Creek to show her the falls and we also went to a place downstream from there. We sat by the falls and soaked it in for a long time (the sounds of splashing, the cool fresh air, morning light and rainbows in the water spray). It was nice. I am enchanted with this place now.
