I feel about Death at a Funeral the same way I feel about Date Night. I like the actors so much that I hope the movie does well. So they’ll make another movie together. A good one.

Hot Tub Time Machine gets a bit thumbs up from me. Lots of fun. A sort of retro movie that exams what it would be like for your 40-year old self to visit your favorite party films from the 80s. I didn’t even mind that it borrowed so heavily from Back to the Future. They even cast Crispin “McFly” Glover, for goodness sake. (And he was brilliant.)

I finally got around to seeing it in the theater today.  Fun movie.  And I was even amused by the feeling I was simply watching the latest Batman flick.
There was an Ambiguously Gay Duo.  A Catwoman. A utility belt.  An overly-elaborate, but ultimately escapable death contraption.  And even lots of "BAM!" "BOOM!" "KA-POW!!!"

I gave Avatar a second chance. But after seeing it in IMAX 3D, I still haven't had the transformative experience others have had watching the film.  In 2D, I didn't think the landscapes were anymore impressive than George Lucas' virtual worlds.  In 3D, I kept feeling like I was at an Epcot Center attraction. If you saw Up in 3D, you might have seen the trailer for hampster spy movie G-Force.  If you the trailer, did you notice the little trick they do with the way the movie is framed?
