The endless saga of photo editing continues. *flops disconsolately over desk* The problem with photo edits is that they are horribly, mind-numbingly tedious, and yet I can't just automate them by saying, "Kick up the light by 30, kick up the color by 50, increase clarity by 15" and so on, because every photo has a ( Read more... )

I have been so goddamn tired and I don't know why.

1. Current holiday plans are as follows: Nick has an MRI appointment tomorrow noonish, after which he and Dad will start driving east. They plan on three easy days to get from Minnesota to New Jersey, arriving late afternoon on Xmas Eve. Meanwhile, I will drive down on the 23rd. 1. Saturday was a slow work day -- I did some photo edits and some emails, and also got asked to help jump-start a parking tenant's dead car, which was a first for me. It also reminded me that I don't yet have any jumper cables, so that has gone onto my Xmas/birthday wish list.

1. Sent out a lease for a 1-bedroom apartment. I'm also trying to get the prospects who balked at street noise to send me a list of questions that I can send to the current tenants of a different apartment, because I am not going to hand out tenants' private data just because someone wants to ask questions about their unit. 1. Mom and Dad left some stuff in my apartment and refrigerator overnight, and came by around 8:40 this morning to pick those items up and also help me with a car issue. So, I am back home in Ithaca! Friday was a LONG day on the road -- about an hour longer than expected, actually, because of snow and sleet and such, starting in eastern Ohio. But we made it and got Chinese takeout for dinner, so that was okay.

It was a long day's drive, complete with an extremely frustrating runaround at one exit where we tried to find a bathroom, and molasses-slow traffic as we entered Chicago, but we made it and met Nick at the hotel.

We have one normal hotel room and one suite, which connect via a double-sided doorway.
