Which is pronounced Oh-lee-ann, or Oh-lee-uhn, apparently -- it's related (via oleo) to oil deposits in this part of western New York.
Anyway, things about today:
1. Two separate apartment tours: one for a 3-bedroom and one for a studio. The studio prospect submitted an application right as I was leaving for the day -- I need to email Mr. Geniality about that tomorrow, since he's working until 3pm -- and we shall see what comes of the other tour.
2. Designed, printed, laminated, and posted various signs around the main apartment building.
3. Got a Covid-19 test so I will have the results by the time we meet Aunt Cara and Nick for dinner Wednesday night in Chicago.
4. A lot of apartment tour video review. The process is as follows: I upload the raw video to Google Photos, as well as some relevant still pictures, and send Social Media Guy a brief explanation of which parts to use from which clips (if relevant). He then assembles a video using the house style he and I put together, after which I review it to check for glitches, missing pieces, etc. Then Miss California posts it to YouTube and links the YouTube video from our website.
I will pick up the YouTube/website part of the process in a week or two -- she's been doing it partly since she set up our company YouTube channel last year, and partly because we hadn't done the song and dance to get me logged into that Google account from the downtown office. (The Google Photos account I use is linked to a separate downtown Google account that I created when I switched offices, on the theory that we would need one. And guess what: I was right. *wry*)
5. Got home, set up my apartment so my plants will be okay without me for a couple days, packed a final few items, and waited for Mom and Dad to show up. We then hit the road west. I napped a bit in the car, we checked into the hotel (a Hilton; they've decided to go slightly higher-scale since they no longer have a dog to worry about), and ate dinner at a local place called
Beef 'N' Barrel. I have a room entirely to myself, which is an embarrassment of riches, but honestly it's nice not to all be crammed into a single room and negotiating three people in and out of one bathroom.
And now I shall go to bed, because we have a long drive tomorrow and I need to get up around 7am. :)
