This year I have backed off on SCA commitments. I sent off my email to Lisette last week, so I am down to a couple of at-large warrants that don't require any work. First time in 14 years that I haven't had at least one office. I feel myself getting less and less interested in the SCA, so it is definitely time for a break. Last weekend we traveled to Georgia for my niece's 11th birthday. We took an extra day this year, so we had 2 entire days there with 2 days for travel. I think that made for a more relaxing trip. We had a good time and still managed to do some Pennsic prep ( Read more... )

When I arrived home from work Saturday evening, Eldred was in the driveway finishing up nailing shingles on the roof for the Pennsic gatehouse with Lucien helping. Today was our department Holiday Party. I made some candies. They are sort of like vanilla-flavored white chocolate in various colors. I picked up molds and wafers at AC Moore and stayed up way too late making them. I think they came out nicely though ( Read more... )
