The yard transformation has accelerated a little last week. On Friday, the landscaper pulled out the shrubbery (no, please do NOT bring me a shrubbery) from the front of the garage. This is ridiculous! The water heater got swamped again last night, resulting in yet another cold shower. That is three times in two days. If I could jack the stupid thing up off the ground, I'd do it, but the water pipes are as high as they can go--I'd have to cut all of them and attempt to refit them. Rush hour traffic yesterday was snarled thanks to the desecrated burial mound claiming a house. This morning at the end of my commute, a little blue pickup roared up from behind the queue of traffic that had slowed at the exit ramp and cut in line from the merge lane. After a terribly long time, I have restored the bathroom ventilation fan to working order. The last time I tried to repair it, none of the replacement kits would fit, and my best option was to buy one and modify the motor shaft. Once I got past the usual jam of people where the two Interstates intersect with entrance and exit ramps designed for Model Ts, the drive home (and this morning's commute into the office) were extraordinarily void of fellow commuters. The mower battery still has not arrived and the shop hasn't called to let me know whether the gasoline mower is ready.
