You've GOT to be Kidding.....

Rush hour traffic yesterday was snarled thanks to the desecrated burial mound claiming a house. OK, so it was a pre-fab shed, but the point is still valid--we were trapped for a while as people took a good gawk at the shed that had broken loose from a flatbed and had rolled off into the ditch by the side of the Interstate. Once past the clog of rubber-necked drivers, the rest of the drive home was pretty peaceful.

A Better Deal Than I Thought

I did comparative shopping on the Internet and confirmed that some of the items I picked up at the train show were indeed the bargain I thought they were. I am kicking myself over the thought that some of the items I wanted were a better bargain than I thought. Oh well. I know where the vendor is and that they do mail-order. I've got to get past the current crop of stuff I want to work on before ordering more.

Preventative Maintenance?

Storms rolled through again after my wife purchased the pond pump. However, there was no need to use it. So in a sort of weather voodoo, we warded off the reflooding of the crawlspace by having the appropriate tool to deal with the aftermath. The weather decided to NOT flood the crawlspace because we had the means to deal with it, so there was no point in flooding it in the first place.

Flying Fu

Josie loves to nermal and play with the catnip toys, but she rarely indulges in feline acrobatics. Last night, she was like a flying squirrel. She made running leaps to begin the climb up the cat tower from half-way up. She perched on the newel post of the staircase before trying to walk up the railing and take a flying leap to the top of the staircase. I'd wonder if there were some catnip-laced acorns in their food except the other cats sort of plodded around the house.

Silly girl!
