Two orders of business:

1- Knee surgery is a thing that is happening after all! I'm taking a medical leave of absence for the J-term and will be spending the month of January at home, recuperating. California was wonderful! My friends are amazing, and their friends are amazing, and my godson is beyond adorable. He's mischievous and just a touch bashful and loves being the center of attention, and he looks so much like his father. Argh. I let a friend borrow my car the other day, and they left the light on, and now my battery's dead. And I need to drive 3 hours to the airport TOMORROW; and, to top it all off, my car is surrounded by other cars which means nobody has jumper cables long enough to reach ( Read more... )
