I need some help and I hope someone has an answer or can point me toward one. I am in the process of making a skirt pattern and I would like to insert a zipper in the finished product (either invisible or lapped). Is it possible to shorten zip up hoodies? I have one that I love but I never wear because it's kind of long. I don't know much about reconstructing clothes but I'd like to start. I'm guessing I'd have to put a shorter new zipper on..
and would I be able to sew this bottom part back on?

I've been enjoying this community for a few weeks but now I have a question of my own. Anyone have any experience/tips on working with faux fur? About a year and a half ago I picked up a faux fur coat from a thrift shop for $10 - the zipper is broken and I thought rather than replacing the zipper why not get those little things that have the loops ( Read more... )
