Seriously.... I read an article today about a BBC documentary series that the Discovery channel is showing about the polar ice caps, global warming, the changing of the weather patterns etc.
It's a 7 episode series and apparently the Discovery channel has elected to only air 6 in the US... because the 7th is all about global warming.  And apparently ( Read more... )

We managed to get all the 4x4 posts secured today.  This time around, we did the smart thing and invited friends to help us.   Today we finished what is known as phase one for the greenhouse: digging holes and setting the posts for the frame.  Two of our friends came over around 2pm and it took about 2 hours to do.

We decided to break ground on our greenhouse project today.

... Wynton now has had all his baby teeth removed as well as his testicles.  He is healing and recovering VERY well.  He was really only sore for a day or two and now he could care less that anything in his body is missing ( Read more... )

So, I have been absent from my LJ for a long while.... lots giong on here.  Mostly it's that there's been a HUGE drought.  I mean we are talking less than an inch of moisture since mid-May and temps that are consistently between 95 and 110 degrees. EVERYDAY.  SINCE JUNE.  Blech.  I end up having to water the garden for about 3 horus a day to keep ( Read more... )
