In other update news....
... Wynton now has had all his baby teeth removed as well as his testicles. He is healing and recovering VERY well. He was really only sore for a day or two and now he could care less that anything in his body is missing.
I have been a very busy little Farmer's Market bee this season. Since the produce has been so slow developing due to the outrageous heat and dryness (still going by the way, blech), I have resorted to making various baked goods. This past weekend I made scones. Those sold VERY well. This week I am planning to make some English muffins from scratch as well. I'm wagering they'll be a good seller. Plus, next to my homemade jams and jellies.... it is a likely pair to sell together. And the leftover ones can easily for frozen for later use. Homemade dog biscuts continue to be excellent sellers.
I received an email a week or so back that excited me. I have finally been selected by the editors of Bead Trends magazine to be the Featured Designer in the center of the February 2012 issue. I get a 10 page spread in the middle of the magazine featuring 5 pieces of my jewelry, which I get to choose. I also get a headshot and bio page as well. UBER exposure! I am absolutely elated by this news. Now, I have to pick only 5 pieces from my stock..... and that will be difficult. Any help anyone could give me in this would be greatly appreciated.
I was selected to be in the cabaret coming up this next weekend. I've NEVER been asked to be in the Dodge City Days cabaret before because Patty has always been the director. This time around they decided otherwise and thus I was allowed to actually *gasp* audition to be in it. So, I'm getting my sing on this week. I need to go get some eye makeup and nylons today for dress rehearsal.
Lee purchased a retro reproduction beach cruiser bicycle online a week or so back. So now he has a bike that is equally as cool as my 1964 vintage Columbia Firebolt bicylce. We took them for a spin around the downtown area last night. Some things worked fairly well.... some things need some tweaking. I also need to get some chrome polish and clean some of the rust off my bike.
That is what's happening here for the time being. Lots going on but really only a few important/semi important things to mention. I'll have to go back to work here in a few weeks as well so I'll be writing more often. Summertime gets a little bit bonkers.
