I just got back 11pm Thursday from 9 days in the Boston area with my sweet ball of fire love, hartmans. Coming to terms with the funny fact that "girlfriend" makes me feel funny. Sorting that one out!

I'm wearing my Russian fur hat (think big) with white sweaters, tan capris, leather walking boots and toe socks. Headed on this chilly wet day to my friend's orchestra's concert.

I'm half going to spite the weather. I'm half going to remind myself that staying sassy and alert is what it's all about!

I can't get the tune of "Mr. Beveridge's Maggot" outta my head. We danced it Sunday, after a briilliant brunch at a gay dancer friend's faerie-like home. His own apiary! Homemade breads and a fig cake made from the backyard's tree. Morris dancing! Then English Country at the local squares hall. All this in lovely faraway Sebastapol!

So, Charlie Gordon's birthday party was yesterday. So, I got my advance copy of HP Saturday at around 11 am, from the Strand near Union Square. I sat down on the curb and started reading it, and got a couple chapters in.
