Mrs Strange finds this a very sensible idea. As she doubts her culinary abilities, and does not think growing flowers will translate easily to growing crops, Mrs Arabella Strange signs her name very neatly as a kitchen hand. Perhaps it is undignified, but really. This is hardly London society.

He gives her a nod and a little smile, almost. "Once we've got enough people, we'll be setting regular mealtimes, to make it easier on everyone."

"A fine idea, sir," she says with a smile. "I wonder no one thought of it sooner."

He grumbles a bit. "Yes, well. With no one in charge."

Steerpike wanders by, and is struck at the idea. Without saying a word, he signs his name under the cook section, and looks at Kay. "A brilliant idea. Do let me know when to start."

He hates the idea of going back to the kitchens - but he hates more the idea of not eating, and has a mind that should Laurel come to the Mansion, he'll be able to steal some pleasant goods for a private feast.

He nods. "I'll draw up a schedule, once we've got enough people. Let you know."

"Very well. You will find me in the attic," he says with a curt nod.

Phedre is relieved that someone has finally taken matters into consideration. "I will gladly help," she offers with a little curtsy. "The Night Court has taught me all there is to know about serving peers. I shall share this knowledge, if that will please you."

No, Kay, she's not talking about selling her body - though she would take a hit for the team. Naamah's servants are also trained in such tasks.

He really wasn't talking about that sort of serving either, so he just nods. "Thank you, lady. Everyone will help as they may."

"Phedre, My Lord," she offers with a courteous grin. She notices there is a line of pickers, and signs her name there as well. "Until there is something to serve, at least," she adds softly, by way of explanation.

A small bow. "Sir Kay. And we can use both, at present."

Anita likes the idea very much - she'd been pondering hunting, and doing it with others is fine by her, as long as no-one bosses her around.

She strides over confidently, and signs her name in the sheet, in the adequate line.

"Errr. You're welcome." She raises an eyebrow. That's not very effective HR manners.

Kay is not a PR man, no. "I'll let you know, when there's a schedule."

Miz Deliverance writes her name in a spidery scrawl under the "cook" heading. It would be difficult to find someone more capable in the kitchen.

She smiles. "Hello. I imagine I'll have to keep a scarcer kitchen than I'm used to, but it can be done."
