Phedre is relieved that someone has finally taken matters into consideration. "I will gladly help," she offers with a little curtsy. "The Night Court has taught me all there is to know about serving peers. I shall share this knowledge, if that will please you."

No, Kay, she's not talking about selling her body - though she would take a hit for the team. Naamah's servants are also trained in such tasks.

He really wasn't talking about that sort of serving either, so he just nods. "Thank you, lady. Everyone will help as they may."

"Phedre, My Lord," she offers with a courteous grin. She notices there is a line of pickers, and signs her name there as well. "Until there is something to serve, at least," she adds softly, by way of explanation.

A small bow. "Sir Kay. And we can use both, at present."

Phedre is actually a Comtesse, but she's not about to pull rank on him. "Well met, Chevalier." She holds out her hand, in an elegant gesture - a natural thing for her, if anything.

She hesitates only a split instant, and adds, "Might I mention that this is a most opportune idea. Thank you."

He kisses her hand, not to be charming, but because it's almost automatic. "I thank you, my lady. I hope it will meet success."

She curtsies again, amused. He's about as unpleasant and stern as her Joscelin.

"No doubt it will, under your guidance," she replies very courteously, almost to annoy him, but not quite. She quirks her head to the side, and asks, "Forgive my curiosity, are your Alban?"

"...I'm English, my lady." He's not entirely certain this is what she's asking.

Phedre nods politely. "It appears to be one and the same, My Lord, if the Mansion's library is correct."

Indeed - Phedre has come across one of the maps of Europe, and was stunned by the similarity in the geography. "I am from Terre d'Ange... I believe they call it France, in your world, though mayhap you already know this," she lilts in her singsong accent.

"Ah." He's never been much a one for languages, though he knows his geography reasonably well. "How strange."

"One of the many mysteries of this place, I suppose," she replies evenly. "Have you been here a long time?"

"No, not long. You?"

"Not even a fortnight, My Lord."

He nods. "I hope you have been looked after, my lady?" Because he's a surly knight, but not a bad one.

"Well enough," she replies with a gracious, grateful grin. "Although my wardrobe is more than limited," she adds, grinning humorously.

Indeed it is - and although she's been careful to tend her unique dress with care, it might well be visible that it is not freshly pressed. "You are most kind to inquire," she adds gently.

T: "A surly knight, not a bad one." LMAO. You crack me up.
