학글로 쓰고 싶지만 할 말 없구나!  아무튼 그냥 지난 주말을 얘기할거다.   여친를 ('특곰'라고 기억나지?) 보러 토요일에 서울 에갔다.  Valentine's day 때문이고 2월 14일에 항상 함께 하다.  작년 홍대에서 멕시코 음식을 먹고 2년전에 태극 푸켓섬에서 오토바이 타면서 구경핬다.  지난 주말에 그냥 남선 타워에 올라갔는데 가기전에 날씨는 전말 따뜻하지만 내려온때 주워졌네!  금요일에 떠난때 온도는 17도 여서 겨울 웃을 안 입였고 밖에 나간때 잡자기 주워졌어.  특곰이랑 가까이 걸어가는데 따뜻해지지 못 했다.

It seems facebook critical mass has hit.  Although it has always been a hit with the kids, there was only one other person on the site from my high school when I joined.  Here, of course, it is mandatory for keeping in touch with people as they move from country to country but it seems that in the last few months things have changed.  My "friends" ( Read more... )

ㅈ is jealous of me.

다시 한국어 쓰지 그렇다.  사실은 할 말이 없는데 한국어 증거를 보이고 싶다.  어재는 앨라배마 주에 사는 전 학생이 날 연락했다.  그는 감동한 학생 이다.  이년 전에 잘 영어말 하다고 선택 해서 국립안동대학교에서 공부를 시작했다.   일찍 아침과 저녁도 서업을 들고  하루종일 공부했다.  휴학을 얻어서 다른 공부하는 것 없으니 영어만 열심히 공부할 수 있었다.  일년 후에 영어로 대화 할 수 있네요.  여리번 교수의 파티 할 때 그 학생을 초대했다.  그런 상태에 얘기는 너무 힘들다.   말 하는 사람 숙어를 자꾸 사용하고 빨리 말 하고 원전히 설명하지 않아서 대부분의 영어말 잘 못 하는 사람 그 걸 절대 피하다 ( Read more... )

So Busan was great.  We saw four movies and it cost us 2만원.  Total.  There were problems with the double feature on the beach so we got our money back for that one.  None of the movies were very good.  I saw Japanamation for the first time.  We saw a Korean movie from the 60's that was interesting as a relic.  ㅈ and I spent 5 days together.  But ( Read more... )

Last weekend was 추석.  ㅈ, who has quit her computer job and is studying to become a flight attendant, was initially intent on just staying home and avoiding avoiding the traffic, but i talked her into going home to 구미.  For those who don't know during 추석, it is estimated that something like  90% of Koreans return to their home or ancestral home (큰집 ( Read more... )

This weekend I visited ㅈ in 서울.  The original plan was to go to 비원 (the secret garden.) However, though I knew about where it was (duh, 종로) I did not know exactly where it was.  Nevertheless, I did know where a giant park-esque area was so ㅈ and I went there (sidenote: despite being Korean, ㅈ has no idea where anything is in 서울.  Moreover, even if ( Read more... )

 A few weeks ago I was in 서울 visiting ㅈ.  We were heading to 성남 where ㅈ actually lives.  As I was walking her to her place before finding a cheap place to stay for myself (I can usually find a place for 2만원)  We had a fight.  Neither of us was angry but the feelings that came out were very raw and deep.  Fight might be the wrong word; earnest ( Read more... )

So this weekend, for Children's Day, I am meeting ㅈ's two nieces (Korean ages 5 and 7) and her 언니.
