For those who don't know I've spent about 9 days in the hospital last month with congenital heart and kidney failure. I'm on the path to recovery, but it's a long painful path. I got lucky in that with the help of steroids I was able to get the kidneys restarted w/o dialasis. The heart is being regulated through blood thinners and other drugs. ( Read more... )

So, yesterday (as I type this) was my 40th birthday, and it was a good day.

I got some cash from my grandmother and my aunt, and I used it to buy Star Trek on Blu-Ray and a couple of books a Borders.

So, I bought myself a Blu Ray player for one of my birthday presents to myself since my trip fell through. I've now bought 7 Blu Ray discs to go with it ( Read more... )

Not much to say, just took one friend to Des Moines to pick up his Repo'ed car.  300 mile round trip done in five hours (give or take)

Now my friend Dennis is in town to celebrate his 40th birthday, yes he's an old man.

God, and I turn 40 this November, don't remind me.

Well, just letting everyone know I'm still alive and kicking.
