Sadly, her train was delayed for nearly an hour due to a possible fire in one of the carriages and the train rerouted via Hilversum instead of taking the direct way from Utrecht to Amsterdam due to a failure of points and signals, but in the end she did arrive in Alkmaar and so me, cy-v and hecubah could cuddle again. Last weekend, cy-v, hecubah and I celebrated Sinterklaas, and apparently the three of us have been good in the past year.

cy-v suddenly got her piggy bank and emptied it. After counting her money she told me to get my shoes on and took me outside. We walked through the city and went to Anne&Max for a cappuccino. So, continuing on hecubah's surprise visit last weekend, she stayed for three days instead of the three hours she intended to stay. She came over for some much-needed cuddling and decided to stay somewhat longer for a lot more: chats, cosiness, tasty food and the beach.

And all of the sudden, as I was taking a short nap after an early work day, hecubah dropped by. From the south of the country, a 3.5 hour train ride away, that is. Apparently she and cy-v had agreed she'd drop by today, as hecubah had a strong need to cuddle up. Sooo goddamn sweet. <3

And once again hecubah came over. Although we always plan to meet up every three weeks or so, she's more and more becoming a very frequent visitor to our place. She was here last week, decided to come over this week and will be here for our Halloween-fest next week. I guess the long train ride can't keep the three of us apart. And let's hope the travel will be more angenehm as the preparation. Wheras airliners allow you to book ahead half a year, train operating companies limit that time, for whatever reason, to three months. I suppose they keep the the presale period restricted in order to reflect major changes in the schedule due to construction works in the booking ( Read more... )

So I'm on my way back from our girlfriend in the south of the country. Sam and I went there on friday night, after I got of off my shift at work.
