Friday I travelled to Tonbridge to do a mystery shop visit. I should have left earlier, because I missed a bus coming back home, and did not arrive in Faversham until six. The penultimate day of the literary festival. On this occasion, the discussion I attended was held at The old Brewery Store which is part of the Shepherd Neame brewery. John Higgs was discussing his new book "Love And Let Die", a cultural look back at the phenomenon of the Beatles and James Bond.

I was back at the Guildhall for my second literary event. This time it was the manager of Waterstones in Canterbury, the very affable and loquacious author of TheBookseller's Tale.

The Q & A session with Louis Wilder was fascinating and entertaining. It was a full house at the small Guildhall building in town. I asked her what her worst failure at a blurb and which blurb doing she is most proud of. At the end of the hour the discussion was rounded off and then she did some book signing. I walked into town around three on Sunday to visit the festival again.

The centre of town was very busy again. Not as crowded as Saturday though.
