Friday and Saturday Missions

Friday I travelled to Tonbridge to do a mystery shop visit. I should have left earlier, because I missed a bus coming back home, and did not arrive in Faversham until six. I had already contacted Phil and said I would be late for our weekly meet-up. He inferred that he would arrive late anyway as he had some paperwork to do beforehand. We met at six, with him just arriving a few minutes before me at my local pub.

We had a few rounds of real ale, and I ended up back at home just after eight. I had some dinner and then must have fallen asleep because the next time I woke up was about three in the morning - still clothed.

So, today I was going to go to Whitstable, but my brother reminded me it was the Oyster weekend festival there, so the town would be packed out, mostly with DFLs. I did not fancy getting stuck in the town, although my supermarket visit was well outside the main area, the charity shop visit was in town.

In fact, as it was the Canterbury Record Fare, I decided to go to that instead. Located inside the Westgate Hall there were around ten dealers with their goodies. I perused around all of them and ended up at two dealers where I spotted some cheapies. I finally bought eight CDs for £2 each, three vinyl albums at three quid, and another LP at £2. In total, I spent £23.

Arrived home at around five, had some snacks as I was not that hungry, sorted out my new finds and began the process of listening to them.

The charity shop visit will be done next Friday or Saturday and I will do the supermarket visit on Monday.

The weather has been beautiful the last few days, and today was quite warm and splendid. I hope it continues into next week.
