Tuesday Thoughts

I had planned to go to London today but one of the companies I work for cocked things up. So, it will be Wednesday, which is fine because I can do three visits tomorrow, starting with a charity shop visit in Beckenham, then an excellent visit to the Courtauld Art Gallery in the Strand. The final visit will be to a pub in Islington. This means I could mooch around Flashback Records on Essex Road as well.

Last night, after playing some of my newfound albums from Brighton, I watched my usual quizzes on Monday night. Mastermind and Univesity Challenge. In the latter game, I was so happy to see that the team from The Open University won by a margin of a hundred obtaining 255 to get them into the semi-final stage.

Today, I popped over to Sittingbourne and had a few beers with him at the Vineyard. Luckily, he had his hearing aid in, so it wasn't a shouting match. However, the subjects seemed to be the same and I thought that after hearing the same old stories or complaints, I really did not need this. As for his health, well, he does look better, but I still feel he is not eating as well as he could, especially when I asked what he was going to have for dinner tonight, to which he was uncertain. If he is struggling there is always a local food bank. He has a decent Railway pension. I think he should stop going to the pub every day. That will save him some money.

Before heading to Sittingbourne, I did have a tasty small breakfast with black pudding at my local Spoons pub. I try to have breakfast there once a week usually. While still in Faversham, I picked up some DVDs - three for quid - which were Brief Encounter, March Of The Penguins, and The Italian Job. These will be going to Brighton for the Xmas week at my brother's pad.
