Storm "Bebeng" left a huge mess in our street. Lots of fallen branches and debris. I worried yesterday because water started to seep in through our lanai. The runoff was too strong outside, our drainage couldn't pass clearly. So it started to back up in our property. But whew... luckily the rains started to let up. No damage. How is everyone? I'm sure you all stayed up like I did. Power went out around 12 midnight. It woke me up. Then the heavy rain and howling winds kept me up. I was trembling inside. That was a quick and strong storm. Happy to report that it wasn't as damaging as Ondoy or Pepeng. Still, some people lost their homes or roof. We lost electricity yesterday from 4am to almost 1am this morning ( Read more... )

Plane Crash

Yesterday, an "antique" airplane of Victoria Air crashed into a Las Pinas warehouse killing 4 people. My heart almost came out of my mouth when I heard the news. The crash happened around 12:30pm. My dad's plane took off about that time. He's fine. It wasn't his plane. He's back in Canada now.

Is the storm really not going to affect Metro Manila? I'm still really scared. Been scared since 2006 typhoon Milenyo. But we didn't panic buy yesterday. I heard the lines at the grocery stores were really long.

I didn't really have to buy batteries for light.
