This past Saturday, the house hosted a Halo 3 night. We had 16 players on 4 screens (of which 3 were projectors and 1 was a large plasma). It was pretty fun. Some day I'll have an XBox 360.

This coming weekend, I'll be working at Wizard World LA. I get to hang out with cool people and make some money.

Co-worker went on holiday last Friday. So I'll be filling in as the newspaper designer for two weeks. It's nice to take a break from my copy-editing duties, but since I'm not a regular designer, it takes a bit longer for me to do. It's nonstop work, work, work. Not happening. Originally there was to be a family trip to China in July. My parents decided not to go. My sister and her family are still going though. I decided this morning not to go. Tickets were expensive and China in July is not fun. Summer in China is a wet-hot. I was last in China as a child during the summer. And mom says us children hated ( Read more... )

"first" day of cci. spent much of it running around handling staffing issues. I had to go to each of our 5 booths, spread from one end of the hall to the other, to accuratly gauge our situation. first day of con for me, it was ok I suppose. we're way behind on being fully set up, but did business anyway. the marriott gaslamp is pretty swanky, but room is spendy.
