It feels like I spent my day off yesterday free of the cares of work. I was able to get a few of my chores done and just enjoy the day. On Saturday, I went to Taste of Lexus at Santa Anita Park with roomie Ray. It was a pretty damn good event. The format was nice. Upon check-in, each participant was issued a smart card, which you use to schedule a test drive one at a time. Nothing good was on TV for the past two nights, so I popped in my DVDs of "The Tick" live-action television series. Man, that show was great! It's too bad it never found its audience. Other than the dentist yesterday, it was a very full day. At noon, my Central Cali friend Noreen came by to visit. I hadn't seen her in about a year. She was down south to relax before she goes back home to start the new school year again as a sped teacher. Our plans of the day were to go car shopping and see the sushi nazi.

Yesterday, a group of friends and I went speed dating. It was an interesting experience. It was my first time, but things seemed to go OK. I met lots of cool people and a couple of psychos.
