Managed to drag myself out of bed a bit earlier. Turned on some music, put away the dishes from having people over on the weekend, did the dishes from the past two days, tidied the house. Going to enjoy a nice coffee then get dressed. The sun is shining, I think today is the right day for the linen suit to come out.

I need a Den. A space of my own I can relax in, even if the wife is not home. I got home early on Friday and did my nesting but it would have been nice to be able to sit in My Chair and listen to some jazz while drinking my Campari and soda ( Read more... )

I know we haven't really had a chance to settle in yet, but neither of us is too sure about our new residence. Aside from the fact that it really isn't that much more space so I'm still feeling very cramped, we're just unsure of the area. Sure it's nice and it's clean, but there isn't much life. 2. Yay elections. Yes my state was still red, but I reckon it counters my mom's vote in a state that would end up blue anyway.
3. Internet cafes are weird places. This cup of tea, however, is excellent.

Antony and the Johnsons with the LSO was very good last night. I forgot what a musical singer he is. Would definitely see him again.

We're trying to settle in. Still not internet access and tons to do yet, but we're getting there.

Now I can actually believe it: we have managed to move into a new place. The day my mom left, the movers came and took all the boxes to our new home for the next year or so. We didn't get the flat. I can't believe it. We're moving out anyway, staying with friends. What a pain!!!

Well, the move seems to be back on. Let's hope so, cuz I can't take another fall-through.

When you're young and carefree, you can afford to be a bit disorganized. As you get older, files become a necessity.

Also, tradesmen are crap.
