My spouse had surgery to correct a detached retina on Thursday. He'd noticed a big black spot on Friday and called Wednesday. They had him come in immediately and scheduled surgery for the next day! We've been here since Tuesday and it's Saturday. You do the math.

It's still around 100 degrees, which has me staggering around like I've had ti many martoonies. Have to use my cane all the time. I've noticed that people who have known me for years haven't asked me why I'm using it. I guess they think I might be embarrassed.

The administrator and the nurse came to evaluate my mother. She was admitted back to the program with no problems. She was having a really bad day. The main aide did a beautiful job of laying out all of the health problems my mom is having. It's a huge relief. Jeff said "maybe the others don't appreciate you, but you did a hell of a job."
