I was expecting a visit from Outside Clinic today between 11:00am and 2:00pm to check the fit of my spectacles. I waited until 2:30pm and heard nothing. No contact to say that the optometrist was running late or wasn't coming. I am bloody exhausted, in a running battle with ASDA over a refund for damaged goods sent back with the driver, from a delivery made on Tuesday. Had a tradesman here this morning from Sussex Oven Cleaning Limited to defrost and sanitise my freezer and clean and sanitise the refrigerator. (Obviously they do more than ovens!). Almost two hours on the job and a perfect result, all for £65 including VAT. I reckon that's a bargain in today's economic climate ( Read more... )

Then onto ASDA at the Brighton Marina to use their ATM followed by a visit to the filling station to check tyre pressures. Dave is journeying home to Ospringe. The weather threatened rain and so instead of him walking down to the Brighton bus depot to catch the bus for Tunbridge Wells, I drove him over to Lewes, where it's sheltered, to catch that particular bus there.
