Worry is insidious. It just wraps around the mind and it's difficult to think of anything else. I am as worried about Riley as I am for myself; his vet appointment is just a few days away when I will have to try and get him to take a dose of gabapentin to make him compliant enough for the vet to harvest a blood sample. Haven't been posting much recently. Health issues. Had bloods taken on Monday, received results yesterday, apart from HbA1c. My blood count is down. The last time this occurred, a few years back, I was prescribed ferrous fumerate, which got my blood count up above 140, which was good ( Read more... )

My beloved Riley is at Coastway Emergency centre - since 5:15pm. Since late morning he had been coughing - like a screech - and then sneezing. He had already thrown up his breakfast which contained a long blade of grass (thanks neighbour who doesn't cut her meadow like grass). I suspected that Riley had another blade stuck under his soft palate. ( Read more... )
