As I sit and wait for the latest in update in this round to complete, I sit an wonder why more of this isn't automated. I am still working on my automated deployment stuff for Trac and Subversion, but I really wish I had some kind of basic avatar for sysadmin tasks. Why is it that the two most common computer input input devices, the keyboard and mouse, are probably the least effcient? I've been working with trying to integrate a card reader into the Helpdesk's workflow, and its proving difficult to program for, as everything in the world of GUI development assumes you are using a keyboard for all text input. Why oh why is there no way to set the default volume of artsd to something other than 0. The only way I've found to do it is have artsd be a script that runs artsd.real, and then resets the volume with artsshell.

Well seeing as how this is the only X-based client for LJ in portage right now (other than klapjack, which won't build), I think I'm more or less stuck with LogJam. After a few lines of KDE magic, it's working quite nicely it seems.

Well gaim-blogger isn't so great after all, probably due to the fact that gaim isn't a blogging tool. So I am now trying out LogJam. Hopefully this works.
