My favorite song from a musical, or very nearly as makes no difference, is Skid Row from Little Shop of Horrors. It's not my favorite musical; not even in the top five. Maybe in the top ten. Peter and the Wolf, by Prokofiev, was the first symphonic piece (besides Beethoven) with which I became truly accustomed, at the age of about four or five. It has continued to be one of my favorites.
