Yesterday was my first Saturday sit with the Zen group. The guys had let me know that Saturdays often have much larger groups, and I was not disappointed. I am pretty bad with names and only picked up a couple more even though I met probably ten folks. Two people were there from Wednesday. Well, my first tentative step at finding a sangha last night was a success. The zendo was a very nice place and I got to sit with four other gentlemen. Last night we ate at the Scenic Loop Cafe. The decor was a little hard to place, kind of a fusion semi-adobe architecture with Texas hill country decorations. I had quail for the first time.
