What are some of the most strange/ridiculous/funny responses to telling family/friends that you're childfree and have no intention of having children?

This was spurred by my father's reaction when I asked him if he was ok with not getting grandkids.
His response: "Eh, if you have them I'll probably be dead before you do so it doesn't matter anyway

When I was younger, I was completely anti-kid. My friends can tell tales of how I once adamantly declared that, if ever a child should be placed under my care, I’d merely duct tape it to a toilet until someone came back to take it.
