What are some of the most strange/ridiculous/funny responses to telling family/friends that you're childfree and have no intention of having children?

This was spurred by my father's reaction when I asked him if he was ok with not getting grandkids.
His response: "Eh, if you have them I'll probably be dead before you do so it doesn't matter anyway

I met with some of my extended relatives today and was able to catch up with my second cousin. She was traveling with her two cousins and her Aunt from her father's side whom I've never met before. So my little sister has a couple of kids. They're actually really great kids, and I like them a lot. My nephew, now seven, is really bright and awesome. My niece is about eight months old, and is just getting to the point where you can kind of play with her. I love them both, and I love my sister, too.  Today I tried to make sushi for the first time, and I was already nervous because of the "help" of my mother (I DIDN'T ask her to help me in the first place, and she was more annoying than useful, apart than from cutting up the roll in pieces), but it turned out ok and I was sort of calming down...
