This week has been surprisingly awesome, and it's only Wednesday!  I generally don't get a chance to say that, so I'm going to hold on to this as hard as I can and hope nothing outside of the truly disgusting weather we're supposed to have for the rest of the week/weekend ruins it.

Today I'm in New Jersey for a wedding. My dad's secretary's daughter is getting married, and she hired me to be her videographer! Very exciting, as it's finally something I can use for my portfolio. Not getting paid, but I got reimbursed for gas, plus a hotel last night, and free food at the wedding, so I think I made out ahead. So, currently ( Read more... )

After over eight months of searching, rejections, things I wasn't qualified for or couldn't physically do, I think I just got a job. Holy shit.

So, since my last post in January, I've not been doing much. Not for lack of trying or anything. A few days after that post, I got a call from my temp agency when I got home from work, saying that my assignment was over and that I should call them. You know how they say that having your tonsils out when you're older is a lot harder than it is when you're a kid?  Well, they're totally right.  Apparently, I had larger than normal tonsils, so they weren't totally healed after the two week "recovery period".  In fact, my throat is still pretty sensitive a month later.  I can eat most things now, ( Read more... )
