This week has been surprisingly awesome, and it's only Wednesday! I generally don't get a chance to say that, so I'm going to hold on to this as hard as I can and hope nothing outside of the truly disgusting weather we're supposed to have for the rest of the week/weekend ruins it.
On Monday,
natacup82,
mmeguilotn,
riadsala,
quettaser, and I saw Ludo in West Chester. They are always great, so it was awesome to see them again. For the first time in a long while, I really wished I'd brought my camera with me, though, since I had a great view, and, at the end of their set, the band came out into the crowd and we all sat down while they played acoustic and we sang along to "Love Me Dead". &Ludo;
And on Friday, I'm going to see Alison Krauss & Union Station, who I've been a fan of for about fourteen years now, so this should be great. I'm debating whether or not to take the train into Philly, since it's going to be gross out, and driving would ensure me not sweating to death while I wait for the train/walk to the venue. On the other hand, the cost of parking. So, we'll see. Regardless, I'm super excited!

In other, non music-related news, I GOT A JOB!!!! ASLDFKJAS;DLFAKJ;SFLAJSDF!!!!! I've been unemployed since 2009, so my level of excitement would be better expressed by font size=a bajillion sparkly blinking text, but capslock, keymashing, and an unnecessary amount of exclamation points will have to do. :D
I start next Monday, so I'll know more about exactly what I'll be doing then, but it seems like pretty straightforward mix of customer service and office-y things, so it should be fine. No sales, thank god, and a zero (or at least very low) percent chance of people calling me up just to yell at me about the price of whatever. It's a temp job, with the possibility to go permanent (the agency said this place has given a bunch of people they placed there permanent jobs), which is pretty great, since if I hate it, it won't be forever, and if I like it, I may get to stay on.
I'm so excited to have something to fill my time with again, you have no idea. And money is always nice, lol. But mostly, I'm glad to not have to deal with the stress of not having a job and worrying about bills as much as I have been. I'm already feeling a lot more positive than I have been in ages. Who knows if this will last, but for now it's really nice.
This is also pretty much the best birthday present I could have hoped for this year (my birthday's on Sunday), aside from getting to go to Comic Con, which is always my birthday weekend, and I never get to go. Maybe next year...

And on that note, I guess I have to brave the still ridiculous temps outside in a few, since I really need milk. Why can't it just magically appear in my fridge when I want cereal, I ask you? Or why don't I have someone to go to the grocery for me, so I don't have to? A question for the ages.
Later, y'all! :D
